The "Worts of Wisdom" is a group of homebrewers and beer aficionados located in Silicon Valley. It is one of the oldest homebrew clubs in the Bay Area dating back to 1993. We all share an interest in learning more about beer, brewing, and enjoying our beer with like minded people.
If you are interested in the club, you may stop by any meeting, no invitation is required.
If you have any questions about Beer, Brewing, Recipes, The Club, feel free to email us. Our club membership has several Beer Judges, Veteran Brewers, and would love to answer any Questions you may have.
Membership dues are $20/yr. Cohabiting brewers may join together for $25/yr. Membership benefits include participation in club activities and 10% discount at MoreFlavor on all purchases (Los Altos location only). If you would like to join or would like more information, please contact us.

Upcoming WoW Events
Dec 19th: WoW City Stumble
We'll be jumping on the 11am train from Mt. View up to San Francisco and hitting a few of the best beer bars. We don't have the details yet - but we had a good group last year and wanted to get the date on your calendar.
Jan 12th: Club Meeting
This meeting will focus on extract brewing - everything from full extract to partial mash, partial to full boils, etc. We'll hold a "people's choice" vote for all of the samples brought in. Prizes will be awarded.
Feb 6th: Chili Cookoff (tentative)
We'll use Superbowl "Saturday" to get together and compare chili (and beer) recipes. So far this is just a fun idea - but it sounds like a good excuse to get together.
The next meetings
Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month, locations vary and are announced in advanced on this page and sent out on the email list.
The next meeting will be held Tuesday, January 12th, 2010 @ 7pm. We will be back at MoreFlavor.
This meeting will focus on extract brewing - everything from full extract to partial mash, partial to full boils, etc (80% extract coming from DME/LME). We'll hold a "people's choice" vote for all of the samples brought in. ***Prizes will be awarded***. Please make sure to bring at least 2-3 bottles of each beer.
Feel free to bring samples of your homebrew! Bring a glass and chair as both are limited at MoreFlavor.
*NOTE*: We are looking for volunteers for brewing demonstrations, either all-grain or extract, contact Dave if you are interested.
Future Meetings:
If you have any suggestions for future meetings, Dave is listening (especially if you give him a beer!)...
