NonProfit Adventures – Worts of Wisdom is now officially a California nonprofit mutual benefit corporation! After NCHF I will file our paperwork with the IRS for our 501(c)(7) social club nonprofit status for federal taxation. We’re on our way!

Chili Cookoff Competition! The competition was a huge success. Many thanks to Jon K and Myra for organizing so much of the whole thing. WoW raised about $3600 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the firefighters are happy! Next year the bottle competition will scale up.

Diversity Track Status – Toni reported that the meetups are going well, and people from the meetups are coming to WoW meetings (like this one!) The meetups are paid up through December, and Toni plans to continue through then. The Queen of Beers competition is coming up, which is a homebrew competition for women brewers only. Toni will keep us posted. Also, the women’s brew – a Citra session pale ale – took third place in the keg competition at the Firefighters’ Chili Cookoff – congratulations!
