Big Brew Day 2018 – Santa Clara Valley Brewery
Our Big Brew Day on Saturday was at Santa Clara Valley Brewery. They were fabulous hosts and the venue was spectacular! Special shout out to Steve Donahue and the brewery staff who let us amateurs run amuck in his brewery for the day…
The event was attended by many Bay Area brew clubs in the area – Sudzers, Almaden Brewers, Worts of Wisdom, Headquarters, and the Grain Trust
Thanks for making it a memorable event! Such a good time mingling with everyone and finding out how you’ll be using this wort. We’re looking forward to sampling your creations in the near future!
The recipe used was a British Brown Ale (recipe below). Starting gravity into SCVB’s fermenter was 1.055.
We’ve been invited back to SCVB for the tasting of the brown ale variants, so I’m going to suggest that we move the March WoW meeting to the brewery. We’ll hang out in the brewery again, get some food, and sample all of these seriously unique beers!

Bring your brown ale along with the recipe and description on how you modified the wort.
Cheers!
